PW 2010 Destination Contest
Contest Rules
Any independent garden center in the U.S.A and Canada that sells Proven Winners or Proven Selections
plants to non-commercial customers is eligible to participate. Independent garden centers with
multiple locations are eligible, provided each location is entered separately.
Winners
Winners to be announced at the Proven Winners booth during the 2010 Ohio Short Course and will be featured in an
issue of Today's Garden Center.
Divisions and Awards
| 1. | Division A: 10 employees and less. US $1,000 |
| 2. | Division B: 11-25 employees. US $1,000 |
| 3. | Division C: 26-75 employees. US $1,000 |
| 4. | Division D: 76 employees and more. US $1,000 |
Point Scoring Opportunities - maximum 200
| 1. | Creativity & Overall Design Quality: 50 points |
| 2. | Completing the 2010 Certified Garden Center Program: 20 points |
| 3. | Using PW/PS Branded Containers: 25 points |
| 4. | Using components of the Retailer Support Kit: 25 points |
| 5. | Using the Proven Winners Poster Program: 15 points |
| 6. | Cross merchandising with Proven Winners Soil & Plant Food: 15 points |
| 7. | Weather Channel (US)/Weather Network (Canada) promotion: 15 points |
| 8. | Using the Proven Winners banner: 15 points |
| 9. | Cross merchandising ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs: 10 points |
| 10. | Using the PW/PS Container Garden Tag on planters and hanging baskets: 10 points |
To be considered valid, each entry must include:

By June 15, 2009:
- Complete online registration form
- Complete the online questionnaire
- Email a written description of how the Proven Winners Destination changed consumer shopping and buying habits to
- Submit 3-10 digital photographs that show PW/PS plants being merchandised in a PW/PS Destination via CD or email (Photo Criteria)
