Finish Time 10-12": 12-14
Pinching/Growth Regulators: No pinching recommended. Infinity varieties were bred to branch well without pinching, which would only delay flowering and result in a less balanced plant habit. No growth regulators recommended or needed.
Pest and Disease Management: General pest and disease practices as listed in notes. Good air circulation is key as higher humidity levels promote earlier flowering in New Guinea Impatiens. Aggressive scouting and treatment program for thrips is critical for INSV control. Do not use Medallion® due to severe PGR effect on New Guinea Impatiens.
Special Notes: Roots are sensitive to over feeding and over watering. All New Guineas are sensitive to micronutrient toxicity. Maintain pH of 6.0 to 6.5 to avoid this toxicity. Consider a flowable limestone application to help maintain pH, if necessary. Be sure not to over-water while plants are still rooting to the pot edge.
Winter Flowering: Yes
Spring Outdoor Finish?: N - Do not finish outside
General Information
Growing Tips
Self-cleaning; no deadheading necessary. Infinity will do well in the ground or in containers. While New Guinea Impatiens are often sold in hanging baskets they need a lot of water to do well and it may be difficult to maintain appropriate moisture levels during the heat of the summer. They will be easier to keep hydrated in large pots or in the ground. They will do best in shady locations, but have been shown to do fine in hot sun as long as they are well watered. If the plants do get dry and are wilted, even if they are severely wilted, water them immediately and they should bounce back within several hours. They are generally easy care with little to no maintenance, other than watering, necessary. If you do want to trim them to improve habit this can be done at anytime using a sharp pair of scissors or pruning shears.
A yearly application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and light fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible performance.

Grower Tips
Grower Tips for Infinity® -Preventive fungicides are recommended at transplant. -Plants are sensitive to high soluble salts. -Light shade is optimal for best growth. -Aggressive scouting and treatment program for thrips is recommended for INSV control. Do not use Medallion® due to severe PGR effect on NGIs. -Be sure not to overwater while plants are still rooting to the pot edge. -75 percent relative humidity with 68 degrees and an EC of 0.2 are optimal growing conditions to maximize flower size.
