Special Notes: -A well drained soil is necessary for them to thrive. Turns lime-green with too much shade, however, summer temps and light intensity may require the use of light shade. -Sunshine Blue needs a sunny location to maintain chartreuse leaves. Also a well drained soil is necessary for them to thrive. -Blooms can be forced for spring flowering by use of natural short days under greenhouse conditions. Once they bud hold them in 40 to 50 degree temperatures to maintain bloom.

General Information
Description
If you like bright, bold color, this is the plant for you! Bright yellow foliage contrasts with the rich amethyst blue flowers for an outstanding late summer display.
Growing Tips
Prefers well-drained, loose soil. Does not like to be over-saturated. Prune in spring down to where new growth is sprouting. In Northern states, this plant will dieback to the ground though the roots are hardy. In the South, cut back if needed. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.

Uses
Excellent for mixed borders or perennial gardens. Adds a splash of bright color to any garden.
Features
